About Romayne Diasz

With a heartfelt mission of "giving others the rod to catch the fish rather than just giving the fish," Romayne Diasz has dedicated her life to helping individuals discover their potential and land meaningful careers. Known affectionately as the “Mother of Speechcraft” in Sri Lanka, Romayne has trained over 2,000 programs, guided countless jobseekers, and transformed lives through her unique blend of empathy, communication, and professional expertise.
A Legacy of Empowerment
Romayne's career spans decades in Headhunting and recruitment, earning her a respected place in the industry. She is the founder of the Millennium Toastmasters Club and the Sampath Bank Toastmasters Club, playing a pivotal role in the growth of professional communication in the country.
As a seasoned Toastmaster, she holds the Advanced Communicator Gold designation and has been named "Toastmaster of the Year" twice, as well as "Secretary of the Year". Her voice and mentorship have resonated in boardrooms, lecture halls, and training rooms across Sri Lanka—including a memorable moment when she stood as the first lecturer in Public Speaking for the M.Sc. program at the Batalanda Defence Academy.
A Personal Mission
"My story is simple,” she says. "I have two hands—one to help myself and the other to help another. That is my daily prayer.” Inspired by her role model, Mother Teresa, Romayne embodies the spirit of compassion and service. "She helped the helpless. I help the jobless."
One of her most touching experiences was walking into a foreign bank in Sri Lanka and being warmly greeted from the receptionist to the top floor—people whose careers she had once helped build. That moment of recognition and gratitude remains one of her life's most profound rewards.
